Pitch Side Advertising Boards Sustainable Sports Club Printing
A well-printed board does two jobs: it keeps your sponsors visible to spectators in the ground, and it makes your club look like one worth sponsoring.
We print durable outdoor boards on Dibond and Foamex, produced in-house by our large format department at our factory in Exeter, Devon, and delivered nationwide.
Whether you need one replacement board or branding for an entire stadium, give our friendly team a call or request a quotation online.

“The level of Ashley House’s eco-credentials paired with beautiful print is hard to come-by. The teams’ service, support, and attention to detail goes beyond that of all other printing companies we’ve worked with.”
Football advertising boards, sponsor boards and pitchside hoardings
The printed advertising boards that line the pitch go by different names: perimeter boards, pitchside hoardings, sponsor boards, or simply pitch-side advertising. They are the same product: a rigid, weatherproof panel, sized and printed to carry a sponsor’s brand clearly from the far side of the pitch.
For most clubs, boards are income as much as advertising. Sponsorship renews each season; the board itself is printed once. Sharp, consistent printing makes that package easier to sell, and easier to renew.
We print for football, rugby and cricket clubs, golf clubs, schools, universities and community sports clubs across the UK, from a single grassroots sponsor board to stadium advertising boards for larger venues. And if your business sponsors a club, we will happily print your board directly and match your brand colours exactly.

Choosing the right material for pitch-side boards
Boards spend the year outdoors beside playing surfaces, in rain, frost and sun, so the material matters as much as the print. We produce boards on two proven materials:
- Dibond is an aluminium composite that stands up to ball strikes and British weather year after year. It is the choice for permanent perimeter runs and stadium installations.
- Foamex is a rigid PVC board with a smooth surface that takes print exceptionally well. It is a step up in stiffness and lifespan; for permanent outdoor use it is best fixed to a solid backing.
If you’re unsure which option is right for your project, tell us where the boards will hang and how long they need to last, and we will recommend the most suitable material and finish.

Sizes, fixings and delivery
Most boards are printed on standard 2440mm x 1220mm (8ft x 4ft) sheets and cut to the size your ground needs. The most common formats are 8ft x 2ft and 8ft x 3ft, deep enough to read across the pitch without blocking sightlines.
We cut to virtually any size, so new boards can match an existing run exactly, and boards can be supplied drilled ready for fixing on request. Larger orders go by nationwide pallet delivery; everything else ships by DPD tracked delivery.
There is no published price list for boards, because every run is priced on material, size, quantity and finishing. Quantity is the biggest lever: printing a full set of sponsor boards together costs less per board than ordering them one at a time. Send us your specification and we will produce a no-obligation quotation.

Matchday programmes and club publications
Matchday programmes remain an important part of the supporter experience, and one of the best advertising media a club can offer its sponsors.
From a simple folded programme to a perfect bound publication, we print and bind everything in-house in our own bindery. Short runs print digitally on our HP Indigo 7900; larger quantities run litho on our Heidelberg presses, all on FSC® certified papers.
The same presses produce brochures, magazines and books, so a club yearbook or a sponsor brochure is a natural next step.

Stadium and club signage
Good signage moves supporters, players and visitors around your venue safely: entrance signs, stand identification, car park signs, hospitality signage, accessible wayfinding and safety information.
Our signage and large format printing departments produce everything from a single door sign to complete venue branding, for stadiums, clubhouses and training grounds.

Club stationery, membership cards and fixture cards
The small print matters too. We print match day programmes, membership cards, fixture cards, season ticket wallets, team sheets, hospitality menus, presentation folders and awards evening programmes, alongside business cards and letterheads and stationery for club officials.
If your club needs something we have not listed, ask. Most of what we print for clubs starts as a bespoke request.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Boards are priced individually on material, size, quantity and finishing, so there is no single figure. To keep the cost down, choose a standard format, gather your sponsors’ artwork and print the boards together in one run. Send us your specification and we will quote it accurately, with no obligation.
-
An advertising board is read at distance, so the most common mistakes are text too small to read from across the pitch, low contrast between logo and background, and artwork supplied at flyer scale rather than board scale. One clear message, big type and strong contrast work best. Choosing the material by price alone is the other one: a Foamex board in a permanent, exposed spot will need replacing long before a Dibond board would.
-
Football, rugby, cricket, golf, hockey and most other sports use the same materials and formats, so we print for all of them. If your venue is unusual, tell us where the board will hang and we will take it from there.
-
Yes. If a club prefers, sponsors can send us their artwork and order their board directly. We will match brand colours and deliver to the ground ready for matchday.
