Green Printing

We are a reduced carbon printer doing everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint, as well as helping others to reduce theirs with eco-friendly print. Our lithographic presses use B2 and B3 chemistry-free plates, which are the greenest printing plates available, and our HP Indigo Digital Press has Nordic Swan Accreditation and is the most sustainable digital press on the market. Our use of these sustainable solutions and vegetable-based litho inks mean we can produce chemistry-free, vegan-friendly print! We also ensure that all our paper is sustainably sourced, using only FSC or recycled stocks.

Plastic-Free Packaging

With the aim to become a plastic-free business, we have eliminated the use of plastic packaging. Our orders are packaged in non-plastic alternatives or biodegradable solutions including 100% recyclable paper tape and corrugated card, recycled envelopes with a cornstarch window, eco-friendly shrink wrap and oxo-degradable pallet wrap. We also ask our suppliers about their use of plastic packaging to raise awareness along the supply chain and encourage them to find alternative methods.

Zero Landfill Policy

Our employees are trained on environmental issues and we have a Zero Landfill Policy in place. We aim to recycle and reuse rather than create unnecessary waste, but any waste that is created is always recycled appropriately, including waste paper, ink tins, used printing plates and wooden pallets.

100% Green Energy

We use 100% renewable energy from a green energy supplier and have installed low energy lighting throughout the factory, to actively lower our energy consumption where possible. By using sustainable power, there’s less harm to the environment when using our machines.

Reduced Carbon Delivery

When delivering our orders, we strategically plan all local deliveries to reduce mileage and transport pollution. For national deliveries, we use a zero-carbon delivery company who comply with carbon emission standards.

The Woodland Trust

We work closely with The Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity and are the largest contributor to their Carbon Capture Scheme in the South West. We also volunteer our time at least twice a year to take part in the local tree planting events, helping to restore native woodland.

We purchase all of our paper, cardboard and packaging materials from Antalis. They offer carbon balanced products through their carbon offset scheme, supporting UK woodland creation, meaning everything we purchase helps plant more trees.

Printers Against Plastic

We are supporting the Printers Against Plastic campaign, whose mission is to reduce the dependency of single-use plastic across the printing industry. As part of our pledge to support this, we now provide sustainable packs for our team to discourage single-use, these packs include reusable shopping bags for lunch breaks, water bottles and coffee cups, as well as wooden pens and pencils.
